the commonwealth

one of my absolute favorite bands ever, Sloan, has released their 11th studio album, "Commonwealth", this past september.  i'd definitely say it's as good as everything they've done in the past.  i've always wondered about the longevity of a band i dig.  Sloan somehow effortlessly slips past my eager anticipations.   maybe i'm victim to a biased ear.  maybe i just genuinely don't care anymore.  sound is found, whether it's long ago or right now, it's special to the timing and that meaning is underlying, or easily lying right in front of you.  it takes a special ear to hear it clearly, an ear that is pro-sound to begin with.  it's more about finding someone with a commonwealth to share it with...
